What did you do this Sunday? If you’re anything like us, you mostly mainlined leftover Easter chocolate and failed to go for that run.
Meanwhile, in Dubai, a climber scaled the world’s tallest twisted building in just over an hour. Alain Robert, a French urban climber nicknamed “Spider-Man” for, well, obvious reasons, scaled the 75-storey, 306m Cayan Tower using only his bare hands, helped along by chalk and sticky tape.
The Cayan Tower, located in the Dubai Marina area, is one of the city’s tallest buildings. It’s unofficially known as the “Infinity Tower” due to its shape:

The tower may seem like small fry for Robert, who’s already climbed the world’s tallest skyscraper, the 828m Burj Khalifa (albeit using harnesses and rope). But the Cayan Tower’s twisted shape meant it posed a different kind of challenge. As you can see from the image at the top of this piece, Robert was relying mostly on small vertical slits to help him scale the building’s facade. We’ll stick to our TV and Easter eggs, thanks.
