Remember “Shadowing”, which won the top gong at the Playable Cities conference a few weeks back? The new technology and/or art installation, designed by Jonathan Chomko and Matthew Rosie, records the shadows of pedestrians passing under the light, then replays them later.
And it’s now up and running across six Bristol streetlights. Luckily for those of you unable to visit the city to try them out, locals have been filling up social media with clips of the streetlights in action.

The technology’s creators also encouraged pedestrians to dance and wave to make more interesting shadows. Here’s a snow angel:

Visitors to the streetlights also commented that people were “making friends” as they made and watched the shadows. Awww.
